What is a true education?

You can probably get many answers to the “What is a true Education” question, depending on who you ask.  Some people will have a vested interest in something, which will taint their answer.  Some will give an answer based on some political agenda.  Still others may base an answer on religious beliefs or social customs.

To me there is only one answer.  A true education is an education based on truth.

This raises a question about what is truth.

There are many false ideas in this world that are masquerading as truth.  Some of these false ideas include “politically correct” history, communism, socialism, politically correct science, mathematics (or any other discipline) in which any answer is correct.

Politically correct or revisionist history seeks to change history so that it supports some agenda.  History in a true education tells the truth of what happened, good or bad, as best as possible and as recorded from eye witnesses whenever possible.

Communism, and its ally socialism, is based on numerous false principles.  In whatever society they are successful misery is sure to follow.  To verify this one can look at Russia under Stalin, China under Mao, Germany under Hitler, East Germany with its Berlin Wall, or any other of the all too many totalitarian regimes.

God is the creator of this world.  He gave humanity, through His prophets, laws, rules, ordinances, and a plan for happiness.  A true education is based on what God has revealed to us, His children.

Anything that preaches something contrary to what God has revealed is a false idea that is being promoted by the adversary and his allies.  An example is that God wants people to have charity, which is freely helping other people.  The counterfeit to this is a government forcing people to help other people, which is usually done under some good sounding slogan, but in reality is the government stealing from some people to give it to other people (or themselves).

On this blog, as time goes on, we will discuss these and many related ideas.

In summary, let me restate: a true education is an education that is based on what God has revealed to men.
